01 — The piece

In detail.

A room lit only from the ceiling feels flat. A floor lamp beside a chair gives a second layer of light at eye level, which is where rooms start to feel comfortable in the evening.

The Sisal stands on three light timber legs, crossed where they meet, under a wide drum shade that turns the lamp into an even, warm glow. Choose a linen shade for a soft, plain light, or woven sisal for a warmer, textured one.
