02 — How ordering works

Quoted first. Made second.

Nothing here is sitting in a warehouse. Each piece is drawn, made and finished for the person who asked for it — which is why every order starts with a conversation and a written quote.

  1. 01 Choose a piece Start from a piece in the collection, or from something you have in mind that is not here yet.
  2. 02 Make it yours Size, finish and hardware — tell us what you would change, or ask us to advise.
  3. 03 Receive a quote A written quote with the specification, the lead time and delivery — before anything is made.
  4. 04 Made and delivered Drawn, made in our workshop and delivered to the room it was made for.

A table for one particular room, storage for an awkward wall, a light to match a finish. Describe it — a sketch or a photograph helps — and we will quote it the same way.

04 — Questions

Before you ask for a quote.

Can I change the size or finish of a piece?
Yes — that is the point of making to order. Every piece can be made to your dimensions and in any of the finishes listed, and often in others; just ask. Your quote confirms exactly what will be made.
Is asking for a quote free?
Yes. A quote costs nothing and commits you to nothing. Nothing is made until you have approved the quote and the drawings in writing.
How long does a piece take?
It depends on the piece, the finish and the workshop programme, so the lead time is stated in your quote rather than guessed here. If you are working to a date, tell us in the form and we will say honestly whether it can be met.
Do you deliver and install?
In Nairobi and the surrounding counties, yes: pieces are delivered and, where they need it, installed by the team that made them. Further afield, ask and we will quote delivery separately.
Can I see the materials first?
Ask for samples when you request a quote. Timber, leather, stone and metal finishes are best chosen in daylight, beside the rest of the room, not on a screen.
What is the difference between a PROWORKX Original and Made to order?
A PROWORKX Original is a piece we designed and refined ourselves, adapted to your size and finish. Made to order covers pieces built to your own specification — from a drawing, a photograph or simply an idea.

Pieces marked as demonstration listings show how the collection will be presented while our own pieces are photographed. Every piece is quoted individually.
